Like most kids of the 1990s, Master Reese was introduced to martial arts with the movies Karate Kid and the 3 Ninjas. With the dreams of becoming a ninja, Master Reese, at the age of 7, was enrolled at the C.S. Kim Karate (Beaver Location) located in the Center Stage Plaza in Monaca, PA training in Tang Soo Do under the instruction of Master Marcus Murtaugh. Master Reese followed his instructor to the Moon Township C.S. Kim location where he earned his 3rd degree black belt. 

After the closure of the Moon School, Master Reese returned to the Beaver location for a short time before joining the C.S. Kim McMurry location in the South Hills of Pittsburgh. Under the instruction of Master Dean Kelly, Master Reese won many championships and earned his instructor certification, judge, and referee certification. Master Reese competed in two I.T.F.’s world championships, placing in every event, and competed for Grand Champion. He won an Indvidual and Team World Titles in Portugal and also tested and earned his 4th Degree master certification. Master Reese was presented his 4th Degree by Grand Master C.S. Kim and Grand Master Goss Sr in Pittsburgh.

I.T.F. Master Promotion

While training with Master Kelly, he trained with the founder of Pittsburgh Martial Arts owner and head instructor of the Washington location, Master Brian Ward. Master Ward was one of Master Reese's classmates, World Form teammates, and his sparring coach. 

During this training, Master Reese tested under Grand Master C.S. Kim and Master Goss Sr. at numerous tests at the I.T.F. Head Quarters and at the Joe Goss Karate in Johnstown PA.

After reaching the rank of Master in Tang Soo Do, Master Reese decided to expand his Martial Arts knowledge and joined Zang TKD located in Warrendale, PA. Under the instruction of Grand Master Robert Zang, Master Reese earned his 4th-degree Black Belt Master in Tae Kwon Do. While with Master Zang, he led Bo Staff seminars, and his students won many competitions and Grand Champion Titles with their Bo Staff. Master Reese continued his training with Master Zang for 8 years. During this period, Master Reese had the honor to compete in front of Grand Master Jong Soo Park, one of the pioneers of Tae Kwon Do, and to attend training seminars conducted by Grand Master Park.
